Endocrinology faculty based at Grady Hospital cover 13 diabetes and
5 endocrinology clinics each week. We provide inpatient Endocrinology
consultation and general medicine coverage. We provide housestaff and
student teaching. In addition we teach in the week long course for health
professionals, Modern Methods of Diagnosing and Treating Diabetes Mellitus
and its Complications, sponsored by the Georgia DHR, Emory University
and Grady Health System 12 times each year.
My areas of investigation concern how best to improve diabetes health
care delivery and outcomes. I am interested in applying informatics
to improve health care delivery and to define disparities in health
care delivery and outcomes. I am currently enrolled in an MPH program
in epidemiology at the Rollins School of Public Health.
