Faculty Development Committee

The faculty development committee was created by Dr. Ken Brigham in 2003 with the charge of creating a faculty development program in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Kathy Griendling took over as chair in 2005, and has expanded the committee to include subcommittees focused on promotions and tenure, mentoring, grant reviews, junior faculty and awards. The FDC is currently involved in developing mentoring programs, assisting with pre-reviews of grant submissions, identifying award opportunities and creating a faculty development seminar series.

Committee membership is designed to include senior faculty from all divisions of the DOM with representatives from all hospitals. Terms last 2-3 years. If you are interested in being considered for membership on the committee or one of the subcommittees when an opening arises, please contact Alia Kamel

The Department of Medicine FDC welcomes suggestions and requests. Please contact Alia Kamel.
