FOCIS Center of Excellence
The Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS)
The clinical immunology community at Emory University under the leadership of the Lowance Center has been distinguished as one of the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS) Centers of Excellence. Each FOCIS Center provides academic and educational platforms to integrate the multidisciplinary clinical immunology community that is represented by the different divisions of medicine. FOCIS centers were organized to accelerate multidisciplinary translational research, clinical care, education, and advocacy. Clinical and research foci of the Emory FOCIS Center are in cardiovascular inflammation, vasculitis, transplantation immunology, immune aging, rheumatoid arthritis, and vaccine responses.
