NBC News: 'Cured' HIV baby has doctors asking: Can we protect all newborns?
Carlos del Rio, MD, professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases and an AIDS expert at Emory University, said he worries that some parents may stop giving HIV drugs to their children following reports of a child "cured" of HIV in Mississippi.
"I worry about the general message to the public," he said. "We don't have a cure for HIV."
