Welcome to the Division of Rheumatology

The Division of Rheumatology at Emory University School of Medicine is comprised of eight full-time and one part-time faculty. In addition, two individuals full-time at the CDC commit clinical and research time to Emory. The Division serves the clinical needs in the Grady Health System, the Veterans Administration Hospital, The Emory Clinic and Hospital, and Crawford Long Hospital.

Emory has a two-year rheumatology subspecialty training program, entering three subspecialty residents one year and three in the alternate year for a total of six residents in a given two year period.  In addition, one of the second year subspecialty residents is offered a third year research fellowship.

The Division is dedicated to excellence in the clinical care of patients and the education of medical students, medicine residents, and rheumatology subspecialty residents. The Division is also committed to involvement in clinical research and playing a part in the development of increased knowledge and new treatment regimens in the field of rheumatic diseases.
