Department of Medicine Staff Awards and Recognition Celebration

What an event! Last Thursday, over 90 staff members enjoyed a wonderful afternoon filled with collegiality and excitement. In the festively decorated Winship Ballroom, we heard about the Department’s successes and plans for the future from Meridith Rentz, DOM Vice Chair of Administration and Dr. Wayne Alexander, DOM Chair. SOM Executive Associate Dean of Administration and Faculty Affairs, Dr. Claudia Adkison, also spoke about the importance of staff contributions and the leadership DOM exhibits in creating a department of excellence.

The Department had 30 University Service Award recipients, ranging from 5 years of service to 40 years! Click here for names and photos.
